A Guy Stole the Uber He’d Ordered, Crashed It, and Got a DUI
A 31-year-old guy named Collin Lyle was out drinking in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, and ordered an Uber to take him home. Unfortunately he followed that responsible decision with several bad ones. Once he was in the Uber, he started yelling at the driver. Then he started hitting him. So the guy pulled over at a 7-Eleven, and ran in to get help. That’s when Collin jumped in the driver’s seat and stole the car. But he was hammered, so he ended up driving over a curb on his way out of the parking lot, down a dirt embankment, and crashed nearby. By the time police got there he’d run off. But they were able to find him at a nearby house, because it was the same address he originally gave the Uber driver. He’s facing charges for intimidation, reckless endangerment, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. And even though he took an Uber home, he still ended up getting a DUI. Get more here.
