Vacationers Decide to Rob a Bank While in Florida

43 year-old Bret Strusiner, 52 year-old Paul Paynter, 43 year old Karen Bajoras are from Illinois originally, but the trio needed a vacation. So they headed down to Fort Myers Florida for some sand, sun, and felony robbery? The group were in a taxi, and asked the driver to park and wait for them while they went into the Fifth Third Bank. So the driver parked in the Ruby Tuesday lot next to the bank, where several witnesses could see the cab. Then in broad daylight, they attempted to rob the bank. The tellers handed over the money, and the thieves ran back to the awaiting taxi cab. During the very obvious get away, they managed to explode the dye packs on the cash, marking themselves, the cab, and the road. Obviously, they were immediately caught and they’re being held on $500,000 each bond. Get more here.

A Woman Is Busted Smuggling Weed, Because Her Kids Weren’t Wearing Seat Belts

A woman got busted for drug trafficking last week, all because she did a better job protecting her weed than her kids. A 23-year-old woman named Karla Munoz from Arizona got pulled over in Memphis, Tennessee last week because a trooper noticed that her five-year-old and seven-year-old kids weren’t wearing seat belts. She said she was driving them to a wedding, which isn’t really an excuse for the seat belt thing, but whatever. Anyway, the trooper got suspicious and asked if he could search the car, and she said yes. And, the cops found 116 pounds of marijuana hidden under the floorboards. The compartments were covered with lead so that X-ray machines wouldn’t spot the weed when she crossed the border from Mexico. Karla was arrested for felony drug possession, but as far as we know, she didn’t get a ticket for her kids not wearing seat belts.
