A Guy Carjacked a Woman to Steal Milk and Cookies From a Bunch of Gas Stations

Everyone likes milk and cookies. But now we know it’s possible to like them too much. A 43-year-old guy named Robert Smith from Lakeland, Florida carjacked a woman at a gas station last week. He told her, quote, “Have [an effing] good day” and then he sped off at 100 miles an hour. His first stop was another gas station, where he stole a bunch of milk and cookies. His next stop? Another gas station, to steal more milk and cookies. And after that, he kept hitting gas stations, but only taking milk and cookies. The cops eventually caught up to him, and he admitted to carjacking the woman and stealing all the milk and cookies. But it’s not clear if he ever ate or drank any of them. He’s only been charged with carjacking so far. Get more here.

Man Attacked 72-Year-Old Woman for Sitting in a “Saved Seat”

Spanish Springs Town Square in Florida, is a nice little spot for music and events. Last Wednesday Bruce Benard, was at the square, hoping for a lovely evening with his friends and family. But they weren’t there yet, so Bruce thought he’d just save some seats, an entire row of seats. Seat saving at the Spanish Springs Town Square is strictly prohibited, but Bruce is above the rules. When a 72-Year-Old woman spotted an open seat, she sat down. That’s when Bruce approached her and told her to get up, these seats are saved. She told Bruce she would get up in just a moment, she needed a rest. That’s not what Bruce wanted to hear, so he tried to forcibly remove her from the chair. He grabbed her wrist, and started stomping on her feet. Obviously there were people all around and they saw what was going on, and called the police over. Bruce was arrested, but had this to say for himself: “she should have moved and I have a right to stand up for myself and stand my ground.” Bruce Bernard: Trailblazer for seat saving rights! Sadly this isn’t the first scuffle over saved seats at the square. Get more here.
