A Guy Buttered Himself So He’d be Too Slippery For The Cops to Catch Him
A 35-year-old man from Listowe, Ireland , likes his drinking. Earlier this week, he liked his drinks a little too much. Michael Rooney came home and started trashing the place, the home he shares with his partner and 2 kids. They called the police, and when they arrived Michael thought it would be a good idea to threaten them. He reinforced the front door, and was yeilding a 14-inch kitchen knife yelling “Come in ye b******s!” to the police. While baracaded inside, Michael took off his shirt and started applying butter all over his body. Why would he do that? Well, he saw it in a movie. the 2008 movie Bronson staring Tom Hardy. Now usually things you see in movies won’t work in real life. But this kinda did! Police had to use 2 rounds of pepper spray to take Michael down, and they had a very hard time getting him into handcuffs because he was very slippery. He’s since appeared in court and the Judge says the police “feel this behaviour on the day was totally out of character for the accused. He has no previous convictions” Get more here.
A Family Fight Over Whether the Earth Is Flat Needs Police and Firefighter Intervention
Well this makes my family’s fights over Monopoly seem downright sophisticated. A 56-year-old man in Brockville, Ontario, Canada was camping with his son and his son’s girlfriend on Monday night, and they got into a debate over whether the Earth was flat. The guy was arguing it’s round, but his son’s girlfriend kept saying it’s flat. And he got so upset that he started throwing stuff into their campfire, including a propane tank. The fire got out of control, so firefighters had to come put it out. Then the police came too, to sort things out. The man was gone by the time they got there, but the cops are trying to track him down. They say he’s looking at one count of criminal mischief. Get more here.
