Guy Travels the Country to Steal Star Wars Legos… To Sell for Cocaine
Shannon Kirkley of New Jersey, isn’t a Star Wars fan, despite the fact that he’s been stealing Star Wars Legos from Toys R Us’s across the U.S. for months. He’s actually just a fan of cocaine, and he has just enough brain power to realize that people like Star Wars Legos, and will pay him well for them. There’s a large re-sale community for Legos, and some of these Star Wars sets are hard to come by. So Shannon went into the business of stealing toys from a childrens store to fuel his coke habit. Toys R Us actually put out a warning at all their stores, to be on the lookout for Shannon. Eventually, his luck ran out in Pasco Florida. Shannon had removed the security stickers from $300 worth of Legos, hidden them in a toy chest, then proceeded to checkout, intending to pay for just the toy box. They recognized him and police arrived to arrest him. He resisted, and police searched him, finding cocaine in his pocket. The arrest was caught on tape. He’s obviously facing theft charges, and also resisting an officer and possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Get more here.
