A Canadian Guy Robs a Store Using a Hockey Stick and Goalie Mask
Now this is exactly what Americans think of when we picture crime in Canada. A guy broke into a liquor store in Russell, Manitoba, Canada a few weeks ago. And he was wearing a goalie mask and pads, a hockey jersey, and he had a hockey stick, I guess in case he ran into any trouble. He and a friend stole about $2,500 worth of Budweiser. If he’d stolen Molson this would’ve been the most Canadian crime ever. The Mounties are trying to track him down, but the goalie mask did a good job hiding his face so they don’t have much to go on. Their only lead? He might not actually be a goalie. Their press release about the crime says, quote, “He may’ve been a defenseman or forward in disguise as he was wearing jersey number 17, a non-traditional number for goalies.” Get more here.
