Drunk Woman Forcefully Removed from a Catwalk
A 26-year-old woman is accused of pushing and kicking deputies after being forcefully removed from the catwalk at a bar. Deputies working an off-duty detail were asked to remove Lori Smith Priest, of Centreville, Mississippi, from the bar, security officers told deputies that Priest was resisting their attempts to remove her from the catwalk. Deputies approached her and asked, then told, her to leave, but she refused, and they attempted to detain her, noting that she was “very intoxicated.” She began kicking at a deputy’s legs and tried to trip him by squeezing his left leg between both of her legs, the report said. While on the way to jail, Priest began to hit her head on the window, according to the report. The deputy stopped to reposition her in the vehicle, and she allegedly kicked him multiple times. Police in Akron, Ohio suspected 46-year-old Andrew Palmer was dealing drugs, so they went to his house on a Tuesday afternoon last month. And they were right to be suspicious, but Andrew didn’t have any drugs there at the time, so he let them in to search his house.
