A woman in Dubai named Rym Ben Slimane came home last week and found a strange man had broken into her apartment, and was sleeping in her bed. And her first instinct was, to take a selfie with him. Once she had her picture, then she called the cops. When they got there, they figured out that he wasn’t planning to rob the place, he was just drunk and tired. But he was arrested anyway, and he’s facing charges for trespassing. Unfortunately for him, more charges could be coming, since the United Arab Emirates operates under Muslim laws, so drinking alcohol and sharing a bed with a woman who’s not your wife are both illegal. A Man Threw Coffee at His Neighbor, So He Severed His Fingers with a Machete
A 74-year old man confronted his neighbor, 58, about vandalism to his vehicle that occurred on the block, police said. As the argument escalated, the 74-year-old threw a cup of coffee at his neighbor. The neighbor then went inside his house and returned with an 18-inch machete, police said. He allegedly swung the weapon at the 74-year-old, severing two fingers from his left hand and causing him to suffer a large cut to the left side of his head. A neighbor who witnessed the fight handed arriving officers two human fingers and said they belonged to the victim, who had been seen walking to the Hospital, where he was placed in critical condition. The neighbor also advised officers that the 58-year-old suspect had gone inside a home on the block after the alleged attack.
