A Logan Teen Stole a Car, Then Called a Cab Because He Can’t Drive a Stick Shift

When a Logan resident discovered his car was missing, but he thought his friends might be playing a practical joke on him. When he did not immediately find his car, his girlfriend offered to drive him home to see if his brother had taken it. As they approached an intersection the couple spotted the car and pursued the driver. They told police the driver was having a hard time driving even with the assistance of his passenger, so the pair ditched the stolen car and fled. The thief, Alexander Katz, 19, and the passenger ran to a Maverik gas station and called for a cab but took off again when police arrived in the area. Get the full story here.

A Bank Robber Stopped for Biscuits After a Robbery, Gets Arrested

A man who was arrested for robbing a western Pennsylvania bank when he stopped to eat biscuits at a nearby restaurant will spend two to four years in prison. 32-year-old Shane Lindsey was arrested about 20 minutes after he robbed the Citizens Bank on Jan. 14. That’s when witnesses saw a bald man matching Lindsey’s description run toward a restaurant after the heist. Police knew the business had surveillance video and went inside to view it hoping for clues as to where the suspect went, only to find Lindsey eating at a booth. Police say Lindsey used the restaurant’s bathroom to discard a coat and hood he wore during the robbery.
