A new study figured out the best states for people who drive like idiots.
So where does Utah fall on the list?
Here are the best places to live if you want to drive like a moron and get away with it:

- Pennsylvania
- North Dakota
- Ohio
- Michigan
- New Jersey
- Mississippi
- Montana
- Washington D.C.
- Wisconsin
And Utah… We fall in at number 22.
The study ranked each state on DUI Penalties, DUI Prevention, Speeding Enforcement, Reckless Driving Penalties, Insurance Cost.
Utah ranked 10th strictest on DUI Penalties, & 5th on DUI Prevention, which are both awesome scores!
So why are we 22nd out of 51? Because Utah ranked 50th – yes – 50th on speeding enforcement.
So basically, we don’t care how fast you’re going, as long as you’re sober!
Utah ranked 28th on Reckless Driver Penalties, and 47th on Insurance, putting us at # 22 on the list.
The strictest states were:

- West Virginia
- Virginia
- Delaware
- Illinois
- Oregon
- Oklahoma
- Colorado
