We have two new albums today from pop Queens. Miley Cyrus dropped her “Younger Now” album; and Demi Lovato coming in hot with “Tell Me You Love Me.”

Demi Lovato | Tell Me You Love Me | Grade: A
Chock-full of solid, sultry Demi Lovato tracks (What is a “chock” and how much does it take to fill though? Here’s the answer).
From the unapologetic lead single “Sorry Not Sorry”, to the soulful “Concentrate”, Demi exhibits her longing for love throughout the work.
“Ruin The Friendship” is supposedly about Nick Jonas. “Put down your cigar and pick me up,” she sings. He’s a known cigar lover, and they’ve been friends forever. No matter who it is about, it is one of many SOLID songs from Demi Lovato on this album.

Miley Cyrus | Younger Now | Grade: C
Up until today, I’ve been an unapologetic Miley Cyrus fan. “The Climb” is one of my all-time, never-ever-turn it off songs. Even though it didn’t exactly scream up the charts, I loved the title track to this one.
After hearing the album, I can see why her record label released “Malibu” and then “Younger Now” as the first two songs to Pop radio.
The rest of the album strays somewhere between Pop, Country, and Folk sounds. These are not the perfectly crafted Miley Cyrus pop songs of yore (specifically this meaning).
I’ll be keeping “Younger Now” and “Malibu” in rotation on my personal playlist, but I’m leaving the rest of this one OUT!
