You ain’t never had a friend like this.
In the never-ending onslaught of film and television re-makes, Disney’s Aladdin looks like a beacon of hope.
I’ll admit, when Disney announced they were remaking the 1992 classic film about a scrappy orphan lying his way into the royal family of Agrabah, I wanted to turn my nose up at it. I’m a bit of a Disney snob and the fact that they’re messing with one of the pillars of my childhood didn’t sit right.
Not to mention, Robin William’s unfortunate death left the company with some HUGE shoes to fill (well, not shoes… Genie doesn’t have feet).
Now, Entertainment Weekly is giving us our first look at the cast in full costume and it totally converted me. Will smith looks amazing. Aladdin and Jasmine are total cuties. I cannot wait for this movie to drop. Take a look at the photos below.
