The Swiftie Cinematic Universe Just Got Bigger
“Get ready to shake it off in a theater near you! Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is morphing into a full-blown cinematic spectacle, and you’re all invited,” announces the pop sensation.
The Big Screen Beckons
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is making its grand leap from the stage to the silver screen starting October 13th. AMC theaters across the U.S. are rolling out the red carpet, with four daily screenings from Thursday to Sunday during the opening week. But don’t fret, international Swifties. The film will also grace screens in Canada and Mexico. Watch the trailer below:
Social Media Buzz: Taylor’s Own Words
On her social platforms, Taylor couldn’t contain her excitement: “The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon 😆.”
She also encouraged fans to wear their “Eras attire” and bring friendship bracelets. And of course, singing and dancing are not just allowed but encouraged. The cryptic “1, 2, 3 LGB!!!!” is a nod to her famous catchphrase, “1, 2, 3, let’s go, b*tch!”
Behind the Camera: Who’s Directing This Epic?
The film is directed by Sam Wrench, who’s no stranger to the music scene. He recently directed Billie Eilish’s Live at the O2.
What’s Next in the Swiftie Universe?
Taylor has been on a roll lately. She recently teased her fans with a snippet of “Look What You Made Me Do,” from her upcoming album Reputation (Taylor’s Version), featured in the TV series Wilderness. She also added more North American tour dates and dropped a re-recorded version of Speak Now. Hold onto your hats, because 1989 (Taylor’s Version) will be released just two weeks after the concert film, on October 27.
