Jessie Murph is an American singer and songwriter from Athens, Alabama, born on September 22, 2004. She gained prominence by sharing vlogs and song covers on TikTok and YouTube, which led to a record deal with Columbia Records in 2021.
Murph’s music blends country, pop, and hip-hop influences, creating a unique “genreless” sound. Her debut single, “Upgrade,” was released in 2021, followed by “Always Been You,” which charted in the U.S. and internationally. In 2022, her song “Pray” reached No. 66 on the UK charts. A notable collaboration with Diplo and Polo G, “Heartbroken,” peaked at No. 64 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2023.
Her debut mixtape, Drowning, was released in February 2023, and her first studio album, That Ain’t No Man That’s the Devil, came out in September 2024. The album includes successful singles like “Wild Ones” with Jelly Roll, “High Road” with Koe Wetzel, and “Son of a Bitch.” “Wild Ones” has achieved over 100 million streams on Spotify.
