Demi Lovato paid tribute to her grandfather on social media after his passing earlier this week.
The singer opened up about his effect on her life and how she and her family were “hurt” because they couldn’t give him a proper funeral due to the pandemic. “Woke up to the news that my Grandpa Perry passed away early this morning,” Lovato captioned pictures of her grandfather, “He’s been sick for a couple of years now so although I’m relieved he is out of pain, it still hurts to think our family won’t get to say goodbye with a proper funeral for a while. But that’s the reality during this pandemic.”
Lovato continued writing that her grandfather, “love God FIERCELY” she also called him the, “best preacher I’ve ever had the honor in witnessing spread the word of God.”
