Matthew McConaughey is a star, not only to movie lovers but he’s a superstar to his children who were shocked when they found out that he got Shawn Mendes’ phone number.
Mendes, who is an avid reader, was pictured reading McConaughey’s recent memoir, Greenlights. And during an interview with Entertainment Tonight Matthew mentioned that he saw the photo of Shawn reading his book and reached out.
Matthew told his children, who are 12,10, and seven, about his new friendship with Mendes, and they were shocked. “My kids are like, ‘You got his number? You got his number?’ ‘Yeah, yeah!’ And I’m like, ‘Do you want to call him?’ And they’re like, ‘No, no, no, no. I got to think about what I’m going to say.’”
