There was another phoned-in award show last night. It was the “MTV Movie and TV Awards”. Remember, these awards are gender-neutral, so there are no separate categories for men and women. Here’s who won:
Best Movie: “To All the Boys: Always and Forever”
Best TV Show: “WandaVision”
Best Performance in a Movie: Chadwick Boseman, “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”
Best Performance in a Show: Elizabeth Olsen, “WandaVision”
Best Hero: Anthony Mackie, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”
Best Kiss: Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline, “Outer Banks”
Best Comedic Performance: Leslie Jones, “Coming 2 America”
Best Villain: Kathryn Hahn, “WandaVision”
Breakthrough Performance: Regé-Jean Page, “Bridgerton”
Best Fight: Wanda vs. Agatha, “WandaVision”
Most Frightened Performance: Victoria Pedretti, “The Haunting of Bly Manor”
Best Duo: Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”
Comedic Genius Award: Sacha Baron Cohen . . . (who proceeded to cancel himself.)
Generation Award: Scarlett Johansson.
And she got SLIMED by her husband Colin Jost, who apparently confused MTV with Nickelodeon.
Host LESLIE JONES opened the show with a “LeslieVision” skit, where she finds herself in the worlds of “Good Times”, “The Jeffersons”, and “Family Matters”.
It’s time to enter the world of ✨ LeslieVision ✨ … if you dare. #MTVAwards pic.twitter.com/Ag7207Y91e
