If This Video Doesn’t Melt Your Heart, You’re a Robot

Ever parent’s worst nightmare is a severely injured or sick child. Seeing your baby in a hospital bed can throw you into such grief that it’s hard to focus on anything else. That’s where RMHC steps in.

Since 1988, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area has helped families stay close to the hospitals where their children are being cared for while assisting with the everyday necessities that can become overwhelming. They are a home-away-from-home to approximately 10,000 families every year, surrounding them with support, encouragement, and community in a time that feels so hopeless.

I had the opportunity to visit the RMHC in Salt Lake City for the first time earlier this year and was completely blown away by the magnitude of services the offer to the families of sick and injured kids. Everything from meals to playrooms and crafts for the patient’s siblings. They even have a service dog who visits regularly and if there’s one thing I believe more than anything, it’s that dogs can fix everything. Because they’re perfect little angels.

RMHC have done so much over the past three decades to help our community and now it’s our chance to help them. Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 7th, you can visit any participating McDonald’s location and purchase a fundraiser tear-off sheet for $1, $3, or $5. Every penny goes to RMHC to help continue their amazing work.

And as a thank you, McDonald’s will give you a voucher good for a small fries or hash brown.

So, head over to a McDonald’s, treat yourself to a McSpicey and a McFlurry, and help families from the intermountain area stay together during while their children get the help they need. Check out the video below for more about the RMHC and visit their website to find out how else you can help.

Fundraiser runs November 7th-19th at participating McDonald’s locations. Thank you voucher good for your next visit through November 30th.
