Well this sounds like every man’s worst nightmare…
A couple months ago, I proposed to my girlfriend on our one year anniversary. I’ve known I want to marry her since we met, and to me the time felt right. The problem is, she said no… She told me it was too soon, and she just wasn’t ready to be married, It was awkward… she tried to lighten the mood by cracking a joke “What’s the rush? Are you pregnant!?” She reassured me that she’s happy in our relationship, and that marriage isn’t off the table, but she just isn’t ready yet. We are still together, but things feel so weird… I think about it all the time, and get embarrassed all over again. I keep asking myself, if she isn’t ready now, will she ever be? Should I wait for her, or is this relationship doomed? ~KevinWhat do you think? Can a relationship continue after a failed marriage proposal? Should it?
