Meghan Trainor was suffering panic attacks during a live 2017 TV broadcast.
Meghan Trainor admits to suffering from panic attacks and at one point breaking down on live television. During an interview, Trainor detailed how after receiving her Grammy for Best New Artist, things took a turn for the worse. “I had, like, a mental breakdown and I had panic attacks live on television with Gayle King. I was reading the nominees for the Grammys the year after I won and I was shaking and I was like, ‘Please don’t collapse on TV right now. We’re live.'” recalled Trainor.
Trainor explained that after taping she, “fell and started screaming, crying and couldn’t breathe,” she was taken away even though she wasn’t finished working. She eventually checked into a hospital and saw a psychiatrist for help.
Trainor says during her time of recovery her career was being threatened if she didn’t make her commitments, she tried to keep going but her body just gave out. Doctors were able to get her treatment and medications that Trainor says, “saved her life.”
Meghan says she has since learned to “trust her gut and believe in herself” her new album “Treat Yourself” is a tribute to self-love. How do you handle the pressure in your life?
