No FOMO Week of 06-04

Summer is in full swing!  Let’s get out and enjoy some fun activities!

Sunday Market @ Wheeler Farm

The Sunday Farmer’s Market began at Wheeler Farm in 2011 operated by the Wasatch Front Farmer’s Market. In 2017 they announced that they would no longer continue the Market at Wheeler Farm. The Market had grown to become a well-loved community event with a wide variety of local vendors from local produce to handmade foods, goods and art. In 2018, Salt Lake County Parks began operating the Wheeler Sunday Market. Our goal was to gain more producers and provide more infrastructure. The Market runs Sundays from June through October 9am – 2pm.

Free Fishing Day!

Since you likely plan to be outdoors this weekend anyway, why not give fishing a try!? Free Fishing Day — the one day you don’t need a fishing license to fish in Utah — is Saturday, June 6. This is your chance to escape the city and experience the thrill of seeing the bobber wiggle and plunge out of sight.

Here are some waterbodies where you should have good fishing and be able to maintain social distancing while celebrating Free Fishing Day: https://go.usa.gov/xwDHC
