Harry and Meghan Expect Friends Not to Speak to Media
Reports are coming out of England that Prince Harry is worried there is too much media hype around his new wife, Meghan Markle. Most of the hysteria is coming from Meghan’s estranged family and her father in particular.
Meghan’s estranged sister continues to bash her publicly; meanwhile, Meghan’s father is telling the press he’s been “cut off” by his daughter.
Vanity Fair is being told that Harry is working to protect Meghan from being over-exposed in the media. The source reveals, “He worries there is too much hysteria around Meghan and he wants to row back a bit.” The Royal couple is telling friends to avoid the media. According to the Vanity Fair source, Harry and Meghan have told friends that if they speak to the media then they’ll be “out”.
Other sources are saying that Harry didn’t used to care about what was written in the press, but now he is becoming upset by Meghan’s father’s behavior.
The Daily Express royal correspondent, Richard Palmer, was recently on Twitter with the claim that reporters are purposefully being kept away from Meghan. That means that reporters cannot hear what Meghan is saying and therefore cannot write more in-depth stories.
What she wears will always be of interest to some readers, of course, but it doesn’t have to be all of the story.

My hope is that when they come back from their summer break, Meghan will be given a bit of a freer rein to express herself (within earshot of the media) and get stuck into some of the serious topics she wants to tackle. She has the soft power to help many people in this world.

So, just as with Kate, that inevitably leaves you with little else to write about except what she wore and looked like. They are too lovebirds so it is quite sweet but these stories have limited shelf life.

If you can’t get direct quotes from members of the Royal Family that often makes for dull stories. You go up afterwards and ask what she said. Mr Bloggs said: “The Duchess expressed the hope that women would eventually get the same opportunities as men in this profession.” Boring
