People have been talking about the celebrities they WOULD invite over for Thanksgiving. But there isn’t a list of celebrities we WOULDN’T have over . . . because that’s MOST OF THEM.
So, Collider.com has a list of “10 TV Characters You’d Never Want at Your Thanksgiving Table” . . . and here are the ones they picked:
1. Hannibal Lecter from the NBC show “Hannibal”. The show hasn’t been on since 2015 . . . but for whatever reason, people have been talking about Hannibal Lecter all year. (???)
The site says that Hannibal is a clear #1, because he’d turn any Thanksgiving celebration “into a straight-up horror movie.”
2. Homelander from “The Boys”. They say, “He’s done all sorts of horrible things, and he’d no doubt find a way to make the celebration all about him, and things wouldn’t go great from there.”
3. Livia Soprano from “The Sopranos” . . . “She’s manipulative and self-absorbed beyond measure. Her toxic relationship with her family would very likely translate to a tension-filled Thanksgiving dinner, and nobody wants that.”
4. Sheldon Cooper from “The Big Bang Theory” . . . “He can be charming . . . but with his self-centered attitude, obnoxious and condescending sense of humor, and conceited demeanor . . . he’d find a way to annoy the majority of guests.”
5. Beth Dutton from “Yellowstone” . . . “She’s cunning and abrasive . . . [and] if there’s anything that Beth is well-known for, it’s for ruining family dinners.”
6. Frank Gallagher from “Shameless” . . . “He’s one truly despicable human being. Having to actually spend time with every ugly bit of his broken personality would be enough to ruin any Thanksgiving celebration.”
7. Angela Martin from “The Office” . . . “She’s judgmental, pearl-clutching, and not generally fond of having any kind of joy in festivities . . . [so] she’d likely sour the mood for everyone at the table.”
8. The Roy family, except Connor, from “Succession” . . . “Connor’s interest in politics would make for compelling conversation . . . but Logan, Kendall, Shiv, and Roman would likely result in some uncomfortable jokes or drama (or both) . . .
“And having more than one of them . . . would be nothing short of catastrophic.”
9. Rick Sanchez from “Rick and Morty” . . . “His presence would not be appreciated at any kind of social gathering. His defining traits are his self-centeredness, rudeness, and drunkenness (just to name a few).”
10. Cousin Itt from the ’60s version of “The Addams Family” . . . “Cousin Itt COULD be fun, but assuming he came without an Addams family member to translate, his presence would be more uncomfortable than enjoyable.
“No one would be able to understand him . . . and his long hair would likely interfere with the food on the table.”
