I contend that this is pure comedy GOLD!
While it is hilarious to watch, the social/psychological patterns are also worth investigating.
The guy asking the question is so straight-faced and serious.
His timing and delivery are so good that people think their own ears are failing them.
The one girl just assumes that he’s asking what the guy said to her.
Anyhow. Now that I’ve dissected this thing like Peter Griffin over explaining a joke on Family Guy, enjoy your day.
