Charli XCX to Host and Perform on SNL
The milestone 50th season of Saturday Night Live is afoot, delivering a lineup of top-shelf talent. NBC recently announced that Charli XCX will return to SNL as both host and musical guest on November 16, bringing her signature brat style to Studio 8H. This marks her first hosting gig on the show and her first performance since her electrifying set in 2022. Watch that performance:
Mk.gee Joins Bill Burr as Musical Guest
The prior week on November 9, genre-blurring artist Mk.gee (pronounced McGee, I think) will make his SNL debut as a musical guest, joining host and comedian Bill Burr. Mk.gee, also known as Mike Gordon, has gained traction this year for his retro-infused sound, blending ’80s pop, rock, and R&B.
His debut album, Two Star & the Dream Police, released in early 2024, has earned critical nods and attention from icons like Eric Clapton. His latest single, “Rockman,” dropped just two weeks ago, giving SNL fans a taste of what to expect from his live performance.

Charli XCX’s Remix Album and Anticipated SNL Set
Charli XCX’s upcoming SNL appearance coincides with the release of her remix album, Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat, a playful reimagining of her hit album Brat (full remix tracklist here). The album features collaborations with Lorde, Kesha, Caroline Polachek, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande. The remix collaboration with Billie Eilish garnering particular attention (read more about their team-up). Known for her inventive pop sound, Charli’s live set is expected to bring high-energy renditions of these new mixes to her SNL appearance.
Star-Studded Season 50 Continues
As SNL continues its star-studded season, viewers have already seen performances from Jelly Roll, Coldplay, and Stevie Nicks. Following in the footsteps of Dua Lipa (who recently lit up the SNL stage) and Billie Eilish (who brought hits from Barbie and holiday classics), SNL will welcome comedian John Mulaney this week as host, with up-and-coming pop artist Chappell Roan making her SNL debut.
