The mother of singer Demi Lovato is talking for the first time since her daughter’s drug overdose that nearly took her life.
Talking with Newsmax TV, Dianna de la Garza says: “It’s still a really difficult thing to talk about,” she said. “I literally start to shake a little bit when I start to remember what happened that day.” de la Garza says she wasn’t sure if Lovato was going to make it when she saw her in the hospital. She credits her faith with getting her through her daughter’s hospitalization. Lovato’s mother says the singer is “doing really well.” “She’s happy. She’s healthy. She’s working on her sobriety, and she’s getting the help she needs,” she added. “That in itself encourages me about her future and about the future of our family.”
