Avril Lavigne Has Lyme Disease
Avril Lavigne says she was diagnosed with a severe case of Lyme disease back in October, and that’s the mysterious illness she was battling when she was asking for prayers in December. She tells “People” magazine that she believes she was bitten by a tick last spring. She says, quote, “I had no idea a bug bite could do this. I was bedridden for five months. “There were definitely times I couldn’t shower for a full week because I could barely stand. It felt like having all your life sucked out of you.” She’s still recovering, but she says she’s about 80% better now. Get the full story here.
Bruce Jenner Faces Wrongful Death Suit By Victim’s Stepchildren
Kim Howe, the woman killed in the traffic accident involving Bruce Jenner has no direct relatives. Her husband died in 2003, and it appears her parents are deceased as well as other immediate blood relatives. Kim does have 2 grown stepkids, neither of whom live in California. According to TMZ she had “virtually no relationship” with either stepchild, but because they’re the only remaining people who have a legal right to file a wrongful death lawsuit, they’ve contacted lawyers. In California, stepchildren have legal standing to sue, even if they were estranged from the stepparent. The stepchildren will not inherit Kim’s money, she had a trust with millions in assets that are earmarked for charity including, PETA, Lange Foundation, PAWS, Doris Day Animal League and The Elephant Sanctuary of Tennessee.
