Garth Brooks Adds a Third Salt Lake City Show After Massive Ticket Demand
If you missed out on tickets to see Garth Brooks in Salt Lake City, you just got another shot.
After an absolutely wild ticket rush for his first two shows, Brooks has added a third Salt Lake City concert to his Blame It All On My Roots Arena Tour.
The new show will take place Sunday, October 11 at 2 p.m. at the Delta Center, following his previously announced performances on Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10.
And when we say Utah fans showed up, we mean it.
According to the Delta Center and Brooks’ official website, more than 100,000 fans entered the ticket queues for the original two shows, with each queue surpassing 50,000 people. More than 90% of those in the queues were verified as human.
The initial ticket sale was also disrupted by bot activity. The venue says the system initially indicated that all tickets had been claimed, prompting SeatGeek to investigate the numbers.
Rather than calling it a weekend and moving on, Brooks decided to add another performance.
“The great state of Utah has ALWAYS been the place for Garth Brooks to play,” Brooks said in a statement.
The added performance is a Sunday afternoon matinee, giving fans one more opportunity to catch the country superstar live in Salt Lake City.
Garth and Utah go way back
This isn’t Brooks’ first rodeo in Utah.
He previously played the Delta Center in 1998 and returned for a four-show run in 2015. Those 2015 performances still hold the arena’s attendance record. Brooks later brought his stadium tour to Rice-Eccles Stadium in 2021 and 2022.
His 2021 Utah show was another major ticket event, with more than 50,000 tickets reportedly selling in less than 30 minutes.
Now, nearly 11 years after his last Delta Center appearance, Brooks is heading back — and what started as two shows has officially become three.
When can you get tickets?
Tickets for the newly added Sunday, October 11 matinee go on sale Tuesday, September 22 at 10 a.m. MT through SeatGeek.
The Blame It All On My Roots tour is also bringing back some of the arena-show elements associated with Brooks, including his 360-degree stage setup, giant LED “halo” screens and the return of his iconic Drum Pod.
So, Utah Garth fans, set those alarms. After more than 100,000 people tried to get tickets for the first two shows, this third chance probably won’t stay available forever.
