Jamie Dornan announced on Monday that he will hang up his handcuffs and mask after the release of Fifty Shades Freed.
Jamie, in an interview with ITV’s Lorraine, announced his retirement from the franchise. “I mean there’s no other books. She wrote the first two books again from Christian’s perspective, but I guess we’ve done those films, the same story, so they won’t do that again.”
He went on to say that even if E.L. James wrote another book, “I’m getting too old for this.”
What does his wife, Amelia, think of his portrayal of Christian Grey? While she has never seen a Fifty Shades film, she is very supportive and has visited him on set. When Ellen Degeneres asked why Amelia hasn’t seen a film, Dornan responded, ‘I don’t want to pay for a ticket… I’d like to think she’s more in love with me than that guy.”
