Johnny Depp has not taken on any roles since 2018, and he is now set to play the French King Louis XV in a new movie. The production for the film is set to kick off in the summer of this year and will last an estimated three months. The untitled film will shoot on location at the Versailles Palace near Paris, France. Reports suggest that the film will be shot in French, which means that Johnny Depp must brush up on his French skills for this part.
The infamous Louis XV ruled France for 59 years before dying leaving behind a trail of corruption. His final years as King lead up to the beginning of the French Revolution.
