An Orem Drunk Driver Lost her Dog While Driving Erratically
Saturday mornings in Orem are usually pretty chill, but last Saturday Orem residents got some drama! Witnesses saw a car speeding and weaving down the city streets. They called police, when then the woman flipped a wild U-Turn, causing her dog to fly out the window! The dog, a Husky, was unharmed and bystanders were able to get him out of the road. The witnesses somehow got the woman to stop, they went up to the window with her dog, and the woman said “that’s a cute dog” not realizing it was her dog. They said there was a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. Somehow these good Samaritans managed to convince the woman to give them her keys. Police arrived and issued a field sobriety test, which she failed, blowing a BAC of . The dog was taken to a shelter, and the woman was taken to jail, she’s being charged with a DUI.
