The Nevis Swing Pod is probably the most terrifying thing I’ve ever stumbled upon while browsing FB.
Nestled atop a hill in Nevis Valley, New Zealand, it’s not your typical bungee jump situation. Lying in a harness with your belly to the ground (I call this the ‘Superman Position’), a mechanical setup fires you 492 feet across the Valley.
And if you’re thinking to yourself “sure, heights are terrifying… But what this thing is missing is death-defying speeds,” don’t worry. It has that, too. The Catapult reaches speeds of 62 MPH in under 2 seconds.
