There’s a British website called PassMeFast that offers driving classes . . . although if you ask me, the name doesn’t exactly suit the business.
But that’s not the point. The point is that they came up with some cheesy formula that allowed them to determine the most and least distracting songs to drive to.
In a nutshell, the most distracting songs have high energy and are emotionally charged, but have low danceability . . . which basically means an irregular beat or tempo.
And the three MOST distracting songs are “Hey Ya” by Outkast . . . “Mr. Brightside” by the Killers . . . and “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z.
The three LEAST distracting songs are “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish . . . “July” by Noah Cyrus . . . and “Bruises” by Lewis Capaldi.
