The NBA Star talks about life after his devastating injury.
Matt Lauer from The Today Show recently sat down with Gordon Hayward to talk about the night where his ankle broke on the court of his first game as a Boston Celtic. He mentioned on how it broke him to see his own mother cry. He (Hayward) stated “I remember seeing my mom, and she’s crying. It’s tough to see your parents cry too, because it makes you emotional.”
Lauer asked Hayward “What do you want to learn through this experience? What have you already learned?” Hayward responded with “I’m going to come back better than ever, and I firmly believe that, but I know it’s going to be a long and difficult process.”
There is no doubt in our minds that Hayward won’t come back from this. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger right?!
