Jonah Hill is sporting a dramatically different look in his latest film project.
On Tuesday, Feb. 3, Apple TV+ released first-look images on Instagram featuring Hill, 42, alongside Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz and Matt Bomer in the upcoming movie Outcome. Hill, who wrote, directed and acts in the film, appears nearly unrecognizable with a shaved head and gray beard. In one still, he rests a hand on Reeves’ shoulder on what looks like a studio backlot. Other photos show Reeves, Diaz and Bomer laughing together while seated on a bed.

The film centers on Reef Hawk, a former child star whose life begins to spiral. After discovering a blackmail scheme connected to a mysterious video, Reef embarks on a mission to repair his image, face his past and avoid public disgrace, according to the official plot summary.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Reeves plays Reef, while Diaz and Bomer portray his longtime friends. Hill takes on the role of Ira, a crisis attorney. The ensemble cast also includes Martin Scorsese, Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Spade, Roy Wood Jr., Kaia Gerber, Ivy Wolk and Atsuko Okatsuka.
Outcome marks Hill’s third time directing, following 2018’s Mid90s and the 2022 documentary Stutz. His most recent on-screen acting role was in the 2023 film You People.
Speaking at a press event, Hill described the movie as symbolic of modern life online, saying social platforms have shifted attention toward the opinions of strangers rather than those closest to us.
Diaz also reflected on the film’s themes, noting that fame now feels more attainable — and fleeting — than ever. She observed that viral moments can create a sense of recognition at any scale, whether it’s hundreds or thousands of likes, and suggested society may need to reconsider how much value is placed on that kind of visibility, especially given its impact on well-being.
