MACHINE GUN KELLY decided to find out first hand just how hated he is. So “Jimmy Kimmel Live” disguised him and sent him out to do man-on-the-street interviews . . . where he asked people if they like Machine Gun Kelly.
One woman said, quote, “Not a huge fan. I think his new direction is a little forced.” She was also asked to describe MGK in three words, and she said, “Wannabe emo, blonde.”
But another one said, quote, “I like his music, [but] I find the whole blood-drinking thing a bit unusual.”
One guy who looked like a pretty legit metalhead said, quote, “He’s cool, I really dig the last album.” But it turns out he KNEW who he was talking to.
And one final woman gave him a 9 out of 10 . . . but a 10 out of 10 for his SCENT.
There was also a funny moment when a guy dressed as Spider-Man blew MGK’s cover. And Kelly said, quote, “[Gosh] damn, Spider-Man. You’re supposed to respect secret identities.”
Ultimately, MGK was surprised by the response he got. He said, quote, “Came out here expecting a lot of hate, but it was a lot of love. So [eff] you, Internet!”
