Michael Cera breathed new life into the long-forgotten Allan doll in the “Barbie” movie. And the eBay listings are reflecting that.
Allan was introduced in 1964 as a friend of Ken’s, but he was discontinued a few years later and basically forgotten about.
Last week, before “Barbie” opened, original Allan dolls were selling for as low as $35 on eBay. But now he’s going for A LOT more. One just sold last night for $410.
For some reason, Mattel has no plans to put a new Michael Cera / Allan doll on the shelves.
