From the very beginning to the very end, One Direction had been in the international spotlight. That can put a lot of pressure on the group who were basically still kids at the time.
Now each member is on their own working on solo projects. While you may see some members still spending time together, you won’t see Zayn Malik with any of his former bandmates. Zayn left the band in 2015 and according to him, hasn’t looked back since.
In an interview, he says, “I didn’t really, like, make any friends from the band. I just didn’t do it. It’s not something that I’m afraid to say. I definitely have issues trusting people.”
The music biz can be a cut-throat industry, can you blame Zayn for not forming relationships with his old band or do you blame him for the band’s demise?
