About two months ago, Hostess announced they’d be selling a packaged version of deep fried Twinkies. The Twinkies are fried, then wrapped, and they’re sold in the freezer section. You have to bake them in an oven once you get them home. They finally went on sale everywhere on Friday. The deep-fried Twinkies are exclusively available at Walmart for the next three months because that’s really the most natural pairing possible. They cost $4.76 for a box of seven. And they’re “only” 220 calories each, which is 90 calories more than a non-fried Twinkie.
