The Rock’s Presidential Path: Not Carved in Stone

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has decided against a presidential campaign at this time. In a recent interview, Johnson discussed a 2021 survey that showed 46% of American adults would back him as a presidential contender. He expressed his astonishment at the level of enthusiasm for his potential political career, stating, “I got a visit from the parties. They asked me if I was going to run and if I could run and it was a big deal. And it came out of the blue, and it was one after the other.”

While Johnson did not reveal which political parties had approached him, he mentioned they all referenced the 2021 survey to support their belief in his viability as a candidate. He added, “They also brought up their own deep-dive research and data that would prove, should I ever decide to go down that road, that I would be a real contender.”

Johnson’s primary concern was the impact a political career might have on his family life, especially his three daughters. He shared, “I know what it’s like to have that separation and not be there for the birthdays, not be there for the pickups, the drop-offs and everything else, I didn’t want that. I don’t want that for my little ones now.”
