Beyoncé Has Been Added to the Super Bowl Halftime Show

If Coldplay felt a little too vanilla to headline the Super Bowl halftime show, well, things just got more fierce, Sasha Fierce! Yes, Beyoncé has officially been added. It’s unclear how much time she’ll get, but you’d have to think she’d at least join them for “Hymn on the Weekend” and “Up & Up” from their new album, “A Head Full of Dreams”, since she actually appears on those songs. “Entertainment Tonight” reports that Bruno Mars is expected to join too, and there may be another guest. Bruno was the headliner in 2014, and Beyoncé had the reins the year before that. Get more here.

Justin Timberlake’s Label is Being Sued

Justin Timberlake and Jay Z’s hit song “Suit & Tie” samples the song, “Sho’ Nuff” by Sly, Slick and Wicked a song that was released in 1973. And Justin’s record label, Universal Music Group, did pay to sample the song; however, never got the rights to the vocal performances in that song. They didn’t get paid when UMG licensed “Suit & Tie” for a Bud Light commercial. The song “Suit & Tie” sold 3 million copies and the members of Sly, Slick & Wicked say they deserve their fair share from UMG, & Anheuser-Busch. It’s a fantastic little horror movie, if you can get past the annoying kids. Get more here.

Angelina Jolie’s Kids Did Animal Noises for “Kung Fu Panda 3”

The producers of “Kung Fu Panda 3” employed some child labor in the recording studio, in the form of Angelina Jolie’s kids. 12-year-old Pax, 10-year-old Zahara, 9-year-old Shiloh, and 7-year-old Knox did animal noises for some of the pandas. She says, quote, “They were kind of shy. They don’t really want to be actors, but I didn’t want them to miss the opportunity. They came in, and they had a lot of fun with it.” Get more here.
