Police were alerted around 2 a.m. local time, and the injured guard was quickly transported to the hospital in serious condition. Inspector Paul Krawczyk of the Toronto Police shared details of the incident during a press conference, emphasizing that the investigation is active and that the security guard had been stationed outside the gate when the shooting occurred.
While it remains unclear whether Drake was present at the time, Krawczyk confirmed that the police are in contact with the artist’s team, who are cooperating fully with the investigation. No suspects have been apprehended, but Krawczyk noted that multiple individuals fled the scene in a vehicle. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage to identify the assailants.
