The Best FCC Complaints About Miley Cyrus at the “VMAs”
If there are any guarantees in life, they are that the sun will rise tomorrow, the sun will set tomorrow night, and if Miley Cyrus is on the “VMAs”, the FCC is going to get flooded with complaints. It’s such a given that it’s strange anyone would tune in expecting anything different. But it’s also weird that anyone would actually take the time to write a letter to the FCC. Anyway, here are a few highlights from this year’s complaints:
“Miley Cyrus is a very troubled child and I can not believe what she was able to get away with on this show. Seems like she is in the news everywhere doing disgusting, perverted and lewd things . . . it’s a disgrace to all young girls and boys. I do not condone this, and will not let my boys see this trash in my home.”
“Miley Cyrus’ outfits were over the top, but the view of her naked breast was just obscene. I understand that she wants publicity, but I do not want to see her breasts. My 19-year-old son complained as well.”
“I tuned in with my minor sister who considers Miley her role model. I have one question for you: What kind of pornographic display of indecency was that? Miley wore barely any clothing and even flashed her breasts . . . I find this absolutely disgusting that this was allowed on national TV.”

Untitled Magazie Published Topless Photos of Ruby Rose Without Permission
Ruby Rose has allowed topless photos of her to be published before, but this particular magazine didn’t have permission. She said she first noticed the picture when people kept tagging her in it. At first she couldn’t place the pictures, then she realized that they were 8 months old, taken at a shoot for the magazine Untitled. Ruby says that before the shoot, terms were agreed upon and one of those terms was they would not print any photos where she is too “exposed” so to speak. Ruby has taken to social media to declare her outrage, and the magazine has responded and apologized, but at this point the damage has been done. She’s asking her fans to stop sharing the photo, and delete any copies they may have. Get more here.

Did Jamie Lee Curtis Invent Instagram?
Jamie Lee Curtis claims that she invented Instagram in 2008. Not the Instagram that we know today, she just had the same idea. She says, quote, “I invented Instagram about six years ago. As soon as iPhones came out and we started taking photos, I’m a photographer, and I realized you could take beautiful photographs. All my friends who were photographers, they would send me their pictures, and I would upload it to my blogspot, it was [two years] before Instagram.” And that blog still exists. You can find it at iphoneyes.blogspot.com. For what it’s worth, the photos DO resemble the kind of pseudo-arty stuff that people post on Instagram. And it’s roughly the same concept: A page where you post all your cell phone pictures.
