Kehlani: Clocking In with ‘After Hours’

Kehlani released her latest single, “After Hours,” marking her return to the music scene as a solo artist since her 2022 album Blue Water Road. The track, a blend of Kehlani’s signature R&B style infused with elements from Cordel “Scatta” Burrell’s “Coolie Dance Rhythm,” was crafted by the combined efforts of producers Khris Riddick and Alex Goldblatt. R&B Reimagined: Inside Kehlani’s Latest Track

Blue Water Road, released in April 2022, saw Kehlani collaborating with industry giants, including Justin Bieber, Jessie Reyez, Syd, Blxst, Thundercat, and Ambré. The album, which was a sequel to her 2020 hit It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, stood out for its diverse sound palette, meticulously overseen by executive producer Pop Wansel of Pop & Oak.

“After Hours” represents a fresh chapter in Kehlani’s discography, showcasing her growth as an artist and her ability to meld different musical influences.
