If you’ve been out of the loop, you missed the fashion fur-nomenon of the year. The 2023 Met Gala had a new queen of the jungle – none other than the ferociously fabulous Doja Cat. This year’s gala was a catwalk extraordinaire for “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” a swanky show held in the hallowed halls of the Met’s Costume Institute. The event was a tribute to the fashion maestro who pulled strings at style powerhouses like Balmain, Chloé, Fendi, and Chanel.
However, the real whisker-twitcher of the night was Doja Cat’s ensemble, a sartorial nod to Lagerfeld’s own pampered puss, Choupette. Looks like Doja Cat can now add “cat impersonator” to her already impressive resumé. She’s got nine lives in the music industry, and now she’s clawing her way up the fashion ladder too!
