Macklemore is Now a Dad, AND a Husband

Macklemore is a father, and a husband. On Instagram, he said his daughter’s name is Sloane Ava Simone, and she was born on May 29th. Meanwhile, his longtime girlfriend Tricia confirmed that they’re hitched. She said, quote, “[We] got married on June 27th, once the Supreme Court ruled same sex couples could too, and now new music.” To celebrate parenthood, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis put out a song called “Growing Up (Sloane’s Song)”, featuring Ed Sheeran. He says, quote, “Half of it is advice about growing up. The other half is trying to figure out how to grow up yourself.” Get more here.

Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Amal Clooney Made “Vanity Fair’s” Best Dressed List

“Vanity Fair” released its 75th annual Best Dressed List, and the top spot for the ladies went to Samantha Cameron, the wife of British Prime Minister David Cameron. Celebrities who made the Top 10 were Taylor Swift (2), ballerina Misty Copeland (3), Amal Clooney (5), Rihanna (6), and George Lucas’ wife Mellody Hobson (9). The men’s list is topped by British actor Bill Nighy. You may remember him as the aging rock star from “Love Actually”. He was also Davy Jones in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies. The only other celebs on that list are Prince Harry (8) and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson (9). Get more here.

Mariah Carey Receives Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Mariah received a star on the storied Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday. The 2,556th star was unveiled at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Argyle Avenue, right outside the W Hotel. Across the street, the Pantages Theater marquee trumpeted: “A star for a star! Congratulations, Mariah Carey.” Her 4-year-old son Moroccan, stole the spotlight he made a beeline for mommy during the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. It was pretty adorable:

It’s a great time to be Mariah, she’s joining the cast of Fox’s “Empire” next season, no word on what her role will be, but it was implied that she’ll be guest starring throughout the entire season. So look for her when Empire comes back in September. Get more here.

Donald and Shelly Sterling Finally Filed for Divorce

81-year-old former Clippers owner Donald Sterling and wife Shelly Sterling have filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Sterling filed the court documents on Tuesday in Superior Court of California in Los Angeles, just 16 days before the couple’s 60th anniversary. According to his attorney, Donald has also filed a petition demanding that Shelly Sterling provide an accounting of the Clipper’s sale proceeds. Last year Shelly told Barbara Walters that she planned to divorce Donald “eventually.” “For the last 20 years, I’ve been seeing attorneys for a divorce,” she revealed. “In fact, I have here—I just filed—I was going to file the petition. I signed the petition for a divorce. And it came to almost being filed. And then, my financial adviser and my attorney said to me, ‘Not now.'” Get more here.
