The Billboard Music Awards
Kesha’s performance at the “Billboard Music Awards” last night wasn’t controversial, but it was on point. She did Bob Dylan’s “It Ain’t Me Babe”, and got a standing ovation.
Meanwhile, Madonna’s tribute to Prince was, well, maybe not quite as good. She started off on a purple throne, singing “Nothing Compares 2 U”. Then Stevie wonder came out for some “Purple Rain”.
The tribute kicked off with Questlove saying a few words.
Ariana Grande slayed with her “Dangerous Woman” performance.
Fifth Harmony & Ty Dolla $ign performed their hit “Work From Home.”
Justin Bieber performed a mash up of “Sorry” and “Company.”
Pink sang her latest hit “Just Like Fire” while suspended over the audience.
And America’s favorite jaded-by-love couple, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, sang their duet “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” while setting off serious sparks.
Britney Spears kicked off the night by lip-syncing a medley of her hits, she also received this year’s Millennium Award.

Calvin Harris was in a bad car accident in L.A. on Friday night. He was being driven to the airport for a show in Las Vegas. But a Volkswagen Bug convertible crossed the center line, and crashed into his SUV. Fortunately, no one was killed. Calvin was briefly hospitalized with some cuts on his face, but he’s okay. He canceled two shows, including the Vegas gig. A 16-year-old girl was driving the Bug. It was packed with teenagers. One girl was sitting on a guy’s lap in the passenger seat. They were thrown from the car, and the girl suffered a broken pelvis. Hey teens – wear your seat belt! Get more here.
Alfonso Ribeiro Danced with a Five-Year-Old Disabled Girl
Alfonso Ribeiro became famous for the ‘Carlton Dance’ on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, and last week he danced with a five-year-old girl who’s suffering from arthrogryposis, a condition that makes your joints and muscles stiff. Her name is Brayden, and she challenged Alfonso to a dance-off when he visited her children’s hospital, and there’s video of it online. She’s raising money for a special, $22,000 chair that would help her get around. Last we checked, her GoFundMe page had received over $5,300. Get more here.
