Zayn Malik Has Left the One Direction Tour
Zayn Malik left the One Direction tour yesterday, and flew back to the U.K. A rep says he’s dealing with, quote, “stress,” and that he needs to “take a break” to “recuperate.” It’s unclear how long he’ll be away. This came just one day after he angrily responded to Internet gossip that he’d cheated on his fiancée, Perrie Edwards of the group Little Mix. Again. Zayn hasn’t commented, and no one else has elaborated on his situation. One Direction is in Asia, and will go ahead with shows in the Philippines this weekend. Speaking of that, and rumors, there’s talk that the Philippines would force Zayn and Louis Tomlinson to post “bonds” of $5,000, which they would lose if they were caught smoking pot in the country. Apparently, they were singled out because video of them smoking a joint was making the rounds last year. It’s unclear if Louis actually posted this “bond,” but we’re assuming Zayn didn’t since he’s not even with the band. Get the full story here.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt Will Star in a “Fraggle Rock” Movie
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is going to produce and star in a movie based on the HBO puppet series “Fraggle Rock”. The show was created by Jim Henson, the same guy who created “The Muppets” and the puppets from “Sesame Street”. It ran from 1983 to 1987. Gordon-Levitt says, quote, “Jim Henson’s characters make you laugh and sing, but they’re also layered, surprising, and wise. From Oscar the Grouch, to Yoda, to the Fraggles. I’ve never stopped loving his work, even as a young frisky man, and on into adulthood.” Get the full story here.
Mr. T Is Doing a Home Improvement Show Called “I Pity the Tool”
If you like home improvement shows and plays on words, you’re going to love this: MR. T is starring in a show called “I Pity the Tool” for the DIY Network. It sounds like your typical home renovation show, where they come in and make over someone’s house. Mr. T will destroy the old set-up, and interior designer Tiffany Brooks will fix it back up. She won the eighth season of “HGTV Design Star”, so if you’re into these types of shows, you may recognize her. “I Pity the Tool” will premiere sometime this year. Get the full story here.

C-SPAN Gets a Prank Call from a Fresh Prince
The network’s Washington Journal show was taking calls from viewers on Wednesday about their opinions on how much influence Congress should have in Iran negotiations, when a caller came on eager not to share his views, but to cannily quote the theme song of the former TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. “I just want to make it clear first of all I’m calling from Bel-Air, California,” the prankster starts. “But I am originally from Philadelphia, specifically West Philadelphia.” Get the full story here.
Male Fashion Student Enrollment Up 40% Thanks to Kanye West
Kanye West is making a lot of dudes fashion savvy, thanks to him guys are enrolling by the droves at the design college where he’s teaching to complete his community service. Apparently, he’s not only killing it teaching at LA Trade Technical College, he’s also being credited by the school for increasing the number of men in the fashion design program by nearly 40%. West pled no-contest last March to battery in that LAX pap beat down, but the case has turned into a boon for the school, where officials are giving Prof. West straight A’s. They point out he’s gone above and beyond to assign projects, and offer students personal mentoring. Kanye’s on track to wrap in June, but maybe he’ll want to stick around campus. Justin Bieber is Being Sued By His Egging Victim
The Biebs is being sued by his former neighbor whose house was egged by him and his buddies, claiming he and his wife have suffered emotional distress. Schwartz wants more than just the 80k he got in the vandalism case, claiming Bieber and his crew terrorized their Calabasas neighborhood while he lived there, with loud parties, drag races and disgusting encounters which included Justin spitting on him, something Justin has denied. Schwartz also claims on Memorial Day weekend of 2013, Bieber was speeding around the neighborhood in his Ferrari. Schwartz and a friend walked over to Bieber and told him to stop because he was putting lives at risk. He claims Bieber’s bodyguards then came out and one of them called him a “little Jew boy,” and repeatedly said, “What are you going to do about it, Jew boy?” Schwartz wants damages for emotional distress.
