It’s about time, those things were gnarly.
After growing his nails out for 66 years, India’s Shridhar Chillal cut his fingernails. He was the Guinness World Records holder for “Longest Fingernails on One Hand – Ever”

According to the GWR website, Chillal had been growing his fingernails since he was 14-years-old. He was scolded by a teacher for accidentally breaking one of his nails. Which, to me, sounds like 60 years of emotional trauma.
His nails measured a combined 29 ft 10.1 in and required a Dremel tool and cutting wheel to remove.

In 2015, he told Guinness that his nails were very fragile and required special care to maintain. “I can’t move much, so every half an hour or so I wake up and move my hand to the other side of the bed.”
He sold the fingernails to Ripley’s Believe It or Not! in Times Square where you will be able to pay to see them.
His hand is permanently handicapped. After years of immobility and the weight of the nails, it is unlikely that he will ever be able to properly flex his left hand again.
