Christina Aguilera & Ariana Grande’s Awesome Duet

The fans went nuts, and so did twitter. Later Christina’s own contestant Alisan Porter won season 10 of The Voice! She’s the first winner from a female coach. She also played Curly Sue in the 1991 movie “Carly Sue” but she doesn’t want to talk about that anymore. In her words: “I have retired Curly Sue, she is dead! I am now the girl who won The Voice, I would like you all to know. I’ve waited 30 something years for that! She’s dead!” Congrats Alisan! Get more here.

Adele is About to Sign One of the Biggest Record Deals Ever

Adele is about to sign a $130 million deal with Sony. It’s the biggest record deal ever for a female artist, and for a British artist, male or female. Whitney Houston held the previous record for female artists with the $100 million deal she signed with Arista in 2001. As for the Brits, Robbie Williams had the old record with a $125 million deal with EMI in 2002. You don’t really hear about record deals like this anymore. But then again, you don’t really hear about artists selling music that much anymore, either. Except Adele. She’s only 28, by the way. Get more here.

John Carpenter is Producing a New “Halloween” Movie

John Carpenter wrote and directed the original “Halloween” in 1978. Then he wrote and produced “Halloween 2”. By the third movie, he was just a producer, and after that, his involvement was basically just being handed a check every time someone wanted to make another “Halloween” movie. But that’s about to change. There’s a new “Halloween” in the works with Carpenter as an executive producer and creative consultant. And he says he wants to make it, quote, “the scariest of them all.” He might also compose the music, like he did for the original. There’s no word who else will be involved, but Jamie Lee Curtis  seemed pretty adamant about being done with the franchise after she was killed off in “Halloween: Resurrection” in 2002. There aren’t any plot details yet, either. There have been 10 “Halloween” movies, although “Halloween 3: Season of the Witch” had nothing to do with the rest of them. So technically, there have been nine movies about the unstoppable masked killer Michael Myers. That’s seven in the original storyline, then Rob Zombie’s crappy remake in 2007, and its sequel in 2009. Dancing With the Stars Has it’s Champion

It was down to three: Deaf Model Nyle DiMarco, UFC fighter Paige VanZant and Meteorologisdt for GMA, Ginger Zee. People magazine has called it the most competitive season in years. It was anyone’s game! Nyle’s partner Carrie Ann signed “Thank you for showing us your beautiful heart when you dance” to him after their performance, and everyone cried. The judges saw Ginger’s decision to clap along with the crowd as a mistake, and docked her points. Paige and Ballas scored a perfect 30 of 30, but it wasn’t enough to beat out the champs. Nyle DiMarco and and pro Peta Murgatroyd were crowned the champions of season 22. Get more here.

Fear the Walking Dead Star Arrested for Battery

Frank Dillane is known for playing Nick Clark in AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead, and a young Voldemort in the Harry Potter series. Frank was wandering the CBS studios, when he tried to walk though a security check point. They stopped him, his show doesn’t film on that lot, and he has no access. The guards say Frank was acting “erratically.” Eventually he got angry about being denied access and hit one of the guards. They placed him under citizens arrest and the LAPD came and booked him for battery. Get more here.

Bill Cosby Will Have to Stand Trial for Sexual Assault

All the accusations against Bill Cosby are finally starting to actually go somewhere. Yesterday, a Pennsylvania judge ruled that Cosby will have to go through a criminal trial for the alleged sexual assault of Andrea Constand. She worked at Temple University back in 2004, and she claimed he invited her to his house, gave her some pills to “take the edge off” and sexually assaulted her. Of course, she’s one of more than 50 women to make claims against him. Constand filed a civil suit against Cosby in 2005, which was settled out of court. But last year, a newly-elected D.A. decided to file criminal charges. Cosby is now free on $1 million bail. No trial date has been set yet. If he’s convicted, he faces up to 30 years in prison. While reporting the news on MSNBC anchor Steve Kornacki accidentally Called Bill Cosby, Bill Clinton. Get more here.
